About allrinks

Every roller rink answers the same question badly. You want to know whether you can skate on Saturday afternoon and what it costs. The rink’s site has the answer somewhere, on a page called Schedule or Sessions or Calendar, often as an image, often out of date. Google shows you the building’s opening hours, which is a different fact: the doors can be open for a private party you cannot join.

So this site does one thing. It reads the session times off each rink’s own website, puts them in the same table every time, stamps them with the date they were read, links back to the page they came from, and works out whether a session is running right now in that rink’s time zone.

It currently covers 96 rinks across 33 states, with 576 sessions. Another 341 rinks are known and do not publish a schedule we can read, so they get a row on their state page and no page of their own. That restraint is the point: the method page explains why.
